Were you wondering what New York smelled like this week?

Well I took some notes, and would be happy to share:

Monday:  Cigarette smoke, greasy fried food, and farts.

Tuesday:  Stinky cheese.

Wednesday:  There was no smell on Wednesday – all smells were obliterated by the sights of scowling faces and the sounds of angry cursing and muttering, due to the ¼ inch of ice covering everything.  The ice covering people’s senses of patience, reason, respect for others, and compassion for their fellow human beings, however, was far thicker than that.

Thursday:  Really really stinky cheese and baby wipes.

Friday:  Skunk, and as a nice callback to the beginning of the week – farts.
